My name is Victoria. I am currently a full-time undergraduate student studying biochemistry and physics. As a child, I was subjected to prolonged sexual and emotional abuse, which included being silenced and forced to continue living with my abuser throughout my life. This has had a major impact on life. Over the past couple of years, it has become increasingly difficult to sleep at night, concentrate and stay healthy. My grades have dropped increasingly over time due to the stress from the ongoing stress. A few weeks ago, I self-submitted to the emergency room because I was having suicidal and intrusive thoughts, as well as flashbacks. I was diagnosed with PTSD. I recently decided to take legal action in order to stand up for myself and remove myself from this difficult and traumatic lifestyle. I will be required to pay my car note, rent, car insurance, phone bill, utilities, food expenses, etc. due to this decision to cut ties with my family. Any bit of help would be much appreciated. Thank you so much for your time and bless you all.
Although it looks like a sea monster army is about to feast on some surfer guts, those “tentacles” are in fact just seaweed along Innsmouth Beach in New England.
yes… just relax as the “seaweed” gently caresses you… no, no those aren’t suckers, those are…sea urchins… yes, sea urchins… relax…
It’s really called Innsmouth Beach and you expect me to believe you?
Nepenthes macrophyllais a beautiful carnivorous plant that grows only on the summit of a single mountain on the island of Borneo. A vine which grows to a length of about ten metres, Nepenthes macrophylla has modified pitcher-shaped leaves that hang from coiled tendrils into which insects and other invertebrates fall. (Source)
Okay wait but is this what weepinbell and victreebel is based after
Schizophrenia: patients usually have less brain tissue
Major Depression: scans show less brain activity in depressed brain
Alzheimer’s: brain tissue significantly shrinks, hippocampus is usually the first region to go
ADHD: less brain activity in the frontal cortex (area associated with decision making)
OCD: high brain activity
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD): hippocampal volume reduction (area involved in memory) and increased activation of the amygdala (area involved in emotional responses)
This is so important! I usually don’t reblog posts but people need to understand that mental illnesses are NO CHOICE! You cannot get over it, or snap with your fingers and just be okay again. It takes constant fixing and a lot of strength to get out of this. So to everyone who judges people with mental disorders: people don’t get a choice to develop a disorder or not, but being stupid and telling them to get over it is a choice. PLEASE DONT JUDGE THINGS UNLESS YOU UNDERSTAND!
i wanna shove these in my mom’s face every time she says “just push through it”
